Patrick Dijkink graduated in Dutch Law from Utrecht University in 2016, majoring in constitutional and administrative law.
During his Masters, Patrick wrote a thesis on the environmental law impediments to the delivery of wind energy projects on land. For this purpose, he completed an internship with a specialist consultancy where he worked on the development of energy projects of this kind.
During his studies, Patrick also gained experience in advocacy. He was an intern with a national practice specialising in planning and environmental law. Patrick also spent over a year working for a large international law practice. There his work involved general administrative law (including enforcement), planning law, environmental law and procurement law. While working in these disciplines he also gained experience of transactions practice.
Patrick has been a lawyer at Gijs Heutink Advocaten since February 2017. His main areas of focus are constitutional and administrative law, administrative enforcement, planning law, spatial planning and environmental law.
Patrick is a member of the following associations:
